Domaine Kientzler, Alsace Brut Cremant NV

Flag of France

Domaine André Kientzler is a fifth-generation family estate based in Ribeauvillé, Alsace. Now led by Thierry and Eric Kientzler, the domaine farms 14 hectares organically (certified from 2023), including Grand Cru vineyards. Their focus is on purity, minerality, and precise terroir expression through low-intervention winemaking. Vines average 35+ years, and work in both vineyard and cellar prioritises balance, freshness, and the long-lived, gastronomic style for which Alsace is known. Pale straw with fine, persistent bubbles, this Crémant opens with lemon zest, green apple and white peach, underpinned by subtle brioche and flint. The mousse is elegant and the palate precise - zippy citrus acidity meets creamy texture and a clean, mineral finish. Mostly Auxerrois with touches of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, it’s dry, structured and quietly complex. A serious sparkling wine with plenty of freshness and lift - refreshing on its own or at the table.
